Data Architect is a technical experienced specialist responsible for the definition, preparation, implementation, and maintenance of logical and physical data models focusing on Data Warehouse/Data Lake environments. The Data Architect is hands-on, performing data assessment and profiling, building models whether they are relational or dimensional, and then implementing appropriate data structures into the Arrival Platforms.
This role serves as the Connected Vehicle Platform team and ensures new business requirements are decomposed and implemented in a cohesive end-to-end design that enables data integrity and quality and best supports BI and analytic capability needs. The Data Architect partners with Solution Architects, Team Leads, Quality Assurance, Product Owners, software engineers, and others across teams to achieve project and business goals.

Responsibilities:
Perform data warehouse design leadership, identifying the fit for purpose solutionsPerform advanced level data modeling techniques and guide others in best practicesPerform advanced data analysis and data profiling and mentor others as neededCreate and maintain data catalog and metadata in order to support and communicate data assets to stakeholdersDevelop and maintain specification documentation for data integration developmentDiagnose and resolve complex issues throughout the data warehouse environment – security, data issuesCollaborate with software engineering and business teams to identify dependencies, data flows, assist with testing and overall cohesive of solutions in the environmentSpearhead the development of enterprise standards and guidelines for data modeling and promote across peer teamsExpertise:
5+ years of experience in a combination of data management and enterprise data warehouse data modeling architecture or analytics roles5+ years of experience in data modeling, meta-data modeling, database design, schema design, and/or information architecture practicesSignificant experience in data requirements gathering and facilitation of business data definitionsExperience leading others including engineers, Team Leads, and other colleagues involved in overall solution dependencies, workflow, and scheduling of data-dependent jobsDemonstrated knowledge of data warehouse architectures and best practicesStrong knowledge of master data, data quality, and metadata management concepts and practices and the relation to data warehousing and business intelligenceWe'd love it if you have:
Appropriate industry certifications, including CDMP or CBIP with a data management or data modeling specialization or similar.Experience with related information management disciplines (e.g. data quality management, metadata management, data governance)Experience with data engineering for Data lakes and Hadoop technologiesExperience with high volume data processingExperience with telemetry dataExperience with data catalogsExperience with Agile
