About the role

As a Data Analyst at Energy Vault, you will have the ability to broaden your skill set across data collection, correlation, normalization, and analysis. Using our ML platform, you will have an influential role in shaping how the company improves and makes decisions. Your work will span several phases related to the business from Operations and Maintenance, Cost Controls, to Cyber Security. You will be required to establish data ingest over API from various services and technologies as well do the statistical analyst of that data. What you will do

Lead and mentor a small team of analysts

Work with a variety of data sources extracting knowledge and actionable information from large data sets

Build and expound upon data models in our platform for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis

Be a passionate problem solver breaking down problems and developing analytical insights

Collaborate with key members of all departments to design, implement and deliver business decision workflows.

Convey your work and results to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders

Evaluate operations for inefficiencies and identify areas where you can create, automate, and develop tools and solutions

Diagnose data-related bugs and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

Support the business with ad hoc reporting

Continuously strive for a deeper understanding the business drivers

Offer insights to all aspects of the organization – product, marketing, engineering, IT, security, and finance

What a qualified candidate should possess

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science or Science/Technology/Engineering/Math

5+ years of work experience

Experience with programming and scripting Languages (Linux, Python, PySpark, R, SQL)

Experience with Jupyter Notebooks or similar data science platforms

Experience with Systems Integration and API (REST, SOAP)

Experience with Data Analytics platforms (Palantir, Snowflake, PowerBI)

Experience with data visualization tools

A love for insights, innate curiosity, and deep desire to find ways to create value using business sense to understand the why data is pulled and whether it is seems accurate

Strong communication (verbal and non-verbal) and organizational skills, innovative, open-minded, and a team player

Willingness to travel domestic and international an estimated 15-25%

Experience in public companies is a plus

Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments is a plus
