We are currently seeking a Dangerous Goods Compliance Specialist. The candidate in this role is focused on assisting the safe and compliant transportation of regulated materials for Lucid’s global supply chain. The DG Compliance Specialist role will provide DG guidance and the necessary DG training to the operations so our staff can successfully and compliantly prepare dangerous goods for transport. The DG Compliance Specialist is a direct report to the Trade Compliance Manager.

The Role:

  • Assist with providing day-to-day regulatory guidance on packaging specifications, marking, labeling, and preparation of shipping documents.
  • Provide training courses (both web-based and in-person) to enhance DG knowledge and awareness to various stakeholders.
  • Assist with completing audits to evaluate compliance with the Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance Policy and applicable Dangerous Goods Transportation regulations.
  • Prepare written reports identifying compliance risks and assist facilities in identifying corrective actions.
  • Complete follow-up verifications to ensure that all actions have been completed appropriately.
  • Identify and enroll staff to applicable dangerous goods training courses and track training completion.
  • Create targeted training content based on compliance audit findings and delayed shipment records.
  • Manage and improve DG data capture.

  • Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in dangerous goods transportation classification, identification, documentation, marking and labeling, and packaging compliance.
  • Knowledge of national and international dangerous goods regulations (DOT, ICAO/IATA, IMDG).
  • Experience preparing and delivering training content.
  • Regulatory compliance audit experience, including experience in preparing written reports and communicating compliance risks to stakeholders.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with Lucid stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Discretion with confidential or sensitive information.
  • Capable of multitasking and working with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence Global, Regional and Site contacts.
