We are seeking a talented, passionate, and versatile Creative Director, to tell the story of our brand and products. This Director will be a leader in our marketing and communications team, with a proven record of crafting work that is thoughtful, meaningful, provocative at times, clear, and inspiring. They will empower up-and-coming writers and art directors, and provide clear feedback within their teams. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing & Communications.

The Role:

  • Create, review, and drive creative for the Lucid brand and products – for use across a multitude of channels.
  • Work across disciplines to integrate strategies and messaging for advertising, online, retail, events, and other mediums of communication.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow multiple teams of writers and art directors to make creative conceptual work across all mediums.
  • Partner with producers and project managers to ensure schedules are accurate, realistic, and deadlines are met.
  • Liaise with subject-matter experts to understand our technology and products in order to create clear and engaging messages.
  • Build a Lucid Voice & Tone Style Guide to apply across platforms and share with other departments to drive a cohesive brand vision. 
  • Present creative work to executive staff and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience writing content, providing creative direction, concepting, and producing for major marketing, communication, or advertising campaigns.
  • A strong portfolio of work containing samples from a multitude of platforms.
  • The ability to distill technically complex subjects into clear communication.
  • A can-do attitude with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing creative teams in the launch of luxury or technology-focused products.
  • Efficiency in a deadline-driven environment with multiple concurrent assignments.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • A passion for and working knowledge of automobiles and EVs
  • Prior ad-agency experience preferred
  • Post-graduate ad school experience a plus
  • Experience in the luxury or B2C high-tech industries advantageous
  • A working knowledge of content management systems
  • An opinion on the Oxford comma
  • A BA/BS degree (preferably in advertising, journalism, or English)
