The Role: 

Span is seeking a Contractor Success Manager to support the direct-to-consumer deployments of Span products. Responsibilities of this role include identifying and qualifying external contractors, onboarding and training new contractors, relationship management, and maintenance of a healthy contractor pipeline. In this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive and productive working relationships with Span’s external contractor partners. While this role will require significant cross-functional coordination, the ideal candidate is comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, and can consistently deliver high quality work. This person is interested in helping to build and implement processes that will continuously improve upon our deployment strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform outreach to identify, qualify, and onboard electrical contractors into Span’s network of installers.

  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of working with Span. Set initial expectations of the direct-to-customer program and set contractors up for success.

  • Evaluate contractors' technical and administrative qualifications, installation capacity, and safety culture. Capture information in an internal database.

  • Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors by providing ad-hoc support, soliciting and acting on internal and external feedback, and facilitating positive communication.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of current market pricing dynamics in the electrical contracting space.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure symbiotic relationship with partner sales channels.

  • Improve efficiency and contractor experience by identifying and implementing process improvements. 

Required qualifications: 

  • 4+ years work experience in a customer/contractor success management role in the electrical, solar, energy storage, or construction industry

  • Technical background or experience, especially related to electrical installations strongly preferred

  • Comfort performing cold outreach and delivering value propositions for working with Span

  • Comfort discussing contractual terms and expectations

  • Demonstrated ability to execute several simultaneous tasks and projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management skills

  • Self-starter, able to ask questions and exercise initiative to make sound decisions with imperfect information

  • Creative, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Mission-driven with a demonstrated passion for Span

Bonus qualifications: 

  • Understanding of electrical, solar photovoltaic (PV), and/or energy storage system (ESS) installation

  • Experience working in Salesforce

  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaker
