What You Will Be Doing: 

You will be a lead storyteller and strategist, shaping the external voice of Helion and driving high-impact narratives about Helion's role in the future of energy. In this role, you'll own the development and execution of Helion's external owned content strategy – partnering with company leaders, driving thought leadership, and creating standout written content that cuts through complexity and resonates with broad and technical audiences. This is an onsite role that reports directly to the Director of Communications at our Everett, WA office.

You Will:

  • Lead the strategy and execution of Helion’s external content, including social media, blogs, thought leadership pieces, and high-priority narratives 
  • Manage social media content and platforms, including developing engaging content, responding to engagement, and following industry trends  
  • Develop and manage thought leadership platforms for Helion executives, including message development, owned content, and platform strategy 
  • Work with technical teams to surface meaningful stories and translate complex, technical concepts into clear, engaging content 
  • Manage editorial calendars, own project timelines, and guide content from idea to publication across platforms 
  • Contribute to select media relations efforts and help draft messaging and materials for high-profile media opportunities 

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in social media management, content development, digital media, or public relations; experience with innovative, deep tech companies is a plus  
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a clear, engaging voice; strong editorial judgment for written and visual formats 
  • Proven experience crafting executive thought leadership and managing high-visibility content programs 
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into accessible, compelling narratives 
  • Versatility across content formatslongform writing, blogs, and socialwith interest in emerging mediums like podcasts or video 
  • Curiosity about science, energy, and technologyyou ask smart questions and enjoy learning from technical experts

Total Compensation and Benefits

Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. We are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.

This is an exempt salaried role.

Annual Base Pay
$115,000$155,000 USD
