Role Description
We are looking for an exceptional construction estimator & cost to join our factory engineering and construction team for our first-in-kind battery factory and beyond. 

This opportunity is based out of the Greater Pittsburgh Area

What You'll Do:

  • Develop construction cost estimates for various projects related to the Form Factory
  • Detail the cost estimates as designs develop and communicate with various stakeholders on cost drivers
  • Maintain project cost tracking against budget and estimate 
  • Support leadership and team decision-making through what-if scenario estimates 
  • Recommend various construction/design solutions that are cost effective
  • Support the construction and procurement team in the buy-out of projects, ensuring Form is getting best value for money
  • Develop long term strategy on estimation methodology, tool, and systems for CAPEX projects; benchmark against historicals and industry
  • Use effective communication methods to escalate risks and communicate opportunities
  • What You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in construction cost estimating, cost management and preconstruction services in large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and/or high-tech projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction means and methods and estimation experience in the civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
  • Comprehensive understanding of cost estimating process/procedures and Work Breakdown Structure
  • Capable of analyzing cost and schedule variances against the plan
  • Advanced MS Excel and database skills
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience
