Position:  Compensation Analyst 

Location:  Remote 

We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to help refine and execute our Total Rewards philosophy and strategy to enable Pivot’s development of innovative and sustainable solutions to crop management challenges.   

This role will work closely with our head of Total Rewards on the People Team as we embed Pivot’s values throughout programs that enable and reward both the innovation and collaborative behaviors necessary for Pivot’s success.  If you are looking for an opportunity to build and deliver rewards programs grounded in market competitiveness, high performance, internal equity and transparency – we’d like to hear from you! 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support roll-out and refinement of newly established Job Hierarchy/Career Framework to enable transparency and consistent practices across the organization 
  • Act as an expert on industry salaries, benefits, and remuneration policies and advise People Team members and business leaders on what to pay team members at various points of their employment 
  • Ensure org-wide pay structure is maintained with current data, including managing and responding to annual compensation surveys  
  • Support, promote and administer rewards programs, including the annual salary, bonus and equity incentive plans, to ensure accurate and timely completion  
  • Drive or support other Total Rewards areas such as recognition, benefits and incentives that enhance organization values and culture 

Qualifications and Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years compensation experience delivering base pay, and short and long term incentive programs  
  • Experienced and comfortable working in a remote environment, cooperatively across various functional teams, independently, managing projects and problem-solving 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. working knowledge of vlookups, pivot tables), and/or other data analysis and presentation software required 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships through demonstrating timeliness, trust and integrity 
  • Experience in agronomy or related field preferrable  

Physical Requirements:  

  • Travel to HQ or team in-person gatherings may be expected quarterly

Hiring Range:  $93,000 - $116,000 

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley, Hayward or Boston locations are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
