ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Commercial Strategy Associate will drive global efforts to evaluate the short- and long-term strategy of Fluence and implement actionable changes to achieve core corporate objectives. This role will lead analytical efforts to measure, analyze, report on, and achieve critical corporate KPIs and goals including margin enhancement, price competitiveness, segmentation focus and more. This role will be given ownership of key modeling exercises and ownership of important tools for the company. The energy storage industry changes on a monthly basis – this role will be crucial to meeting our commercial objectives.
Preferred hours will be to work from Noon to 8 PM Bengaluru (Bangalore) time to ensure some overlap with EST working time.

This role will:
Build and improve Excel based models to accurately display key analysis for Fluence strategic questions Complete initiatives to develop analytical tools and frameworks to evaluate, synthesize, and report on commercial KPIs including margin enhancement Conduct fast-paced market evaluation analyses to identify high value customer segments, industry verticals, and energy storage applications Drive development of analytic tools to evaluate price competitiveness of Fluence products and offerings and identify opportunities to improve our cost position Develop forward looking market forecasts to support decision making across the organization – procurement, product, sales, etc. Lead key select projects or major workstreams related to Fluence’s overall commercial strategy Support key commercial initiatives that may come in a timtely manner .What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
The preferred candidate should have a minimum of an undergraduate degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in energy with a proven aptitude for driving strategic efforts. Strong modeling and analytical capability – particularly with Microsoft Excel Strong ability to display analysis and information visually – including in Microsoft Powerpoint and tools lke PowerBi Possess an entrepreneurial drive for getting things done and a “whatever it takes” attitude. Exhibit a forward leaning posture, high ownership, and diligent pursuit of new opportunities. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills required. The candidate should be capable of creating compelling arguments and communicating them to audiences composed of technical, commercial, and regulatory backgrounds. Demonstrated business judgment and individual initiative. The ability to work with minimal supervision. English required, additional languages (e.g., German) a plus.
