Responsibilities:
Responsible for the technical definition, integration and development of closure mechanisms.Engage with tier 1 suppliers to manage the technical delivery of closure mechanisms. Contribute to the design execution and delivery of all closure systems.All parts must meet their functional, cost and weight requirements.3D modelling of closure systems parts and 2D drawing creation.Interact with cross-functional teams to understand and work around package requirements and limitations, ergonomics, manufacturability, etc.Develop, manage, and maintain technical documentation like DVP and DFMEA, Component and System Technical Specifications.Develop the commodities to meet all regulatory requirements and find the right balance between weight, cost and performance targets to meet vehicle requirementsSupport testing, prototype build, and launch activities.Coordinate with manufacturing groups on mass production assembly solutions, assembly sequence, and part feasibility.Expertise:
Automotive engineering expertise in closures systems. Including expert knowledge of closures mechanisms.Proven experience having delivered a closure system from concept to production. Cad literate, NX preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
