We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage and assist with building the certification team for an electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from concept to product launch</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with the regulatory authority (FAA) and internal engineering team to establish the certification basis for the aircraft</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate means of compliance with internal customers</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist the team with drafting Issue Papers and Whitepapers as necessary for proposing Methods of Compliance, Equivalent Levels of Safety, or required special conditions</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate and develop certification plans&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Continue to educate the FAA and industry groups on eVTOL technologies&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build a team of internal and external DERs to support substantiation of the aircraft design and implementation</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Assist in the implementation of Archer’s Partnership for Safety Plan (PSP) with the FAA</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Need</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">10+ years of industry experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BS, MS, or PhD in engineering&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prior experience in an engineering or program management role</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working on type certification of an aircraft from concept to issue of a type certificate under 14 CFR Part 23/27 or equivalent regulations</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prior experience on cert projects with significant software and complex hardware elements</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Understanding of aircraft system certification per SAE ARP4754A </span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with certification under 14 CFR 21.17</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowledgeable on SAE ARP4761, RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working with regulatory agencies to certify aircraft features or functionality which are not covered by existing FARs</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
