What you’ll do

  • Lead the development and execution of certification plans.  
  • Ensure appropriate methods of compliance are selected and adhered to.
  • Guide the creation of test plans and other sub-tier certification documentation.
  • Verify that engineering certification data complies with the applicable airworthiness standards. 
  • Review drawings and other technical data.
  • Works with Supply Chain team and vendors to ensure compliance to  certification requirements; Contributes to the preparation of requests for proposals and statements of work.
  • Review test data items for compliance findings, witness testing
  • Ensure conformity and compliance inspections are performed, and witness as required
  • Collaborate with other members of the certification team to develop integrated aircraft level planning.
  • Support meetings with regulatory authorities; prepare briefing materials, and ensure completion of action items

What you need 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of related experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience developing and executing certification plans.
  • Experience in design, analysis, and testing of avionics/electrical systems 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience as an FAA DER.
  • Current delegated authority in any area(s) such as radio per FAA Order 8110.4C Appendix A Chart E or electrical systems per FAA Order 8110-37F Appendix A Chart D 
  • Experience with certification of aircraft energy storage (battery) systems
  • Experience with certification of electrical wiring and interconnection systems (EWIS)
  • Experience with eVTOL, powered-lift, or other special class aircraft
