We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build, lead and mentor a world class team with expertise in development of flight critical software complying with DO-178C.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate flight software development across products including platform software, flight controls, energy storage, displays, communication, navigation, surveillance and others.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the definition and documentation of streamlined software development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical software and complying with DO-178C, including DO-331.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the definition and documentation of streamlined complex electronic hardware (CEH) development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical CEH and complying with DO-254 - primarily focusing on COTS CEH.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work across multiple software and hardware teams to tailor, align, and train and train on software-specific processes and align them with overarching systems and company processes.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with the certification and safety team to develop certifiable process documentation.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Guide the architecture and design of the software developed in-house in order to facilitate testing and analysis.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oversee the integration of COTS software items with our internally-developed software items to satisfy compliance objectives.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Take the software through Stages of Involvement (SOI) audits 1 to 4, and meet all DO-178C objectives.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oversee the qualification of the tools to DO-330.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI), continuously monitor and improve our processes to ensure compliance, and increase safety and efficiency.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Foster team collaboration, promote and support personal development. </span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Need</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">12+ years of experience in a related field, including experience managing teams.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At least a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency with C</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands on experience developing safety critical software to DAL-A or B</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mastery of the DO-178C and DO-330 standards</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with DO-254</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hands-on experience through the Full Software Development Life Cycle in the aviation industry</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with diverse tools and technologies used for the development, testing and analysis of DO-178C software</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Involvement in SOI audits</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent organizational and communication skills</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with modeling tools like UML or SysML</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with MATLAB/Simulink</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with modeling tools/certification (DO-331)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with formal methods (DO-333)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with Aerospace Security (DO-326A)</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with LINUX</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
