You will have an exciting and varied role; bridging the gap between the engineering & IT teams, liaising with stakeholders & becoming the 'go to' subject matter expert in the business for the engineering toolchain.

The primary role of our Business Analyst is to identify business needs, and analyse gaps in the engineering toolchain in accordance with the roadmaps of the specialist areas. The Business Analyst will elicit requirements from stakeholders and develop detailed specifications for deployment by the Dev Ops IT team, supporting the delivery of solutions in-line with business and IT strategy.

You will help the Heads of Functions, Engineering Specialists and Dev Ops IT develop the toolchain roadmap in the short, medium, and long term. Your focus will be on getting the most out our toolchain and developing the synthetic environment capabilities toward digital twins / Industry 4.0.

Interested candidates should possess an engineering or physical science degree, or a substantial period in industry. It goes without saying you will have a passion for the development of novel technologies and a desire to share your passion with the team.

Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with energy and enthusiasm to all levels within and without the business.
  • The ability to apply your skills and knowledge across a wide and diverse range of projects.
  • Ideally qualified to degree level in a STEM subject with relevant and sufficient experience in the field.
  • Market awareness with a good understanding of the market in which Lilium operates, including competitors, suppliers and regulatory organisations.
  • Experienced in planning and delivering complex tasks to schedule and budget demonstrating effective time management across many projects and priorities.
  • Sound understanding of product safety, standards, technical risk management.

In depth knowledge of following categories of application:

  • Model Based Engineering Tools (including Operational Analysis, MBSE, MBD, Planning, Simulation, Certification and Virtual Operations)
  • Computer Aided Design, Electrical Design
  • Product Lifecycle and/or Data Management
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing
  • Design Analysis Tools (such as Matlab, Hyperworks)
  • High Performance Computing
  • Integrated Logistic Support, Reliability, and Technical Publications
  • Experience in managing and maintaining complex IT solutions
