WHO YOU ARE
As a Business Analyst on the Data Systems Team, you will be a part of our world-class engineering and research teams focused on accelerating the innovation of next generation lithium ion battery materials. You will leverage your technical expertise and project management skills to understand user requirements, business processes and solutions to drive technical improvements across the business. On any given day, you may be found partnering with fellow Silazens to understand their technical needs, optimize their workflows and propose process and technical improvements to improve our overall efficiency. As we look to rapidly scale our business and accelerate innovation, you will help design and develop the next generation of Sila’s software and data architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Collaborate with partner organizations to understand and prioritize their requirements for technical solutions
- Model existing processes and changes to improve them
- Act as a liaison between Data System’s Engineers and our partner organizations
- Train our users on new technical capabilities
- Partner with team members at Sila to deliver well-integrated cross-disciplinary solutions focused on enabling a data driven business
- Leverage agile methodologies and project management skills to organize the collection of requirements from stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related field
- Experience working with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering and IT as well as the end-user of those solutions in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of databases and data-driven architectures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with stakeholders to balance tradeoffs
- Experience working in the manufacturing domain

- Experience working with Lab Information Management Systems
