Plants are the most efficient way to drawdown CO2.  
We convert CO2 via plants into stable carbon and lock it away for 1000 years.
Producing carbon credits, heat and biochar.
We use a patented technology to convert this carbon from waste plant biomass and in the process release heat (renewable energy) and high-quality biochar (used for agricultural purposes and industrial uses).  

About Carbo Culture

Carbo Culture is a climate technology company building a rapidly scalable biochar carbon removal solution. Our patented Carbolysis™ reactors take waste biomass and convert it into stable biochar, locking carbon safely away for centuries and generating renewable energy in the process. Our technology is safe, proven and ready to scale today. We’ve already installed R3, our final test rig, and are currently working on C1, our first commercial facility, with the scope to establish multiple facilities by 2026 under a project platform model.

About the Team

You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team focused on expanding our presence in the Nordics. In this role, you will work closely with our Head of Market Expansion and Partnerships and our Head of Operations  in the Nordics. This close collaboration will provide you with direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute significantly to our strategic direction. You will be an integral part of a team that values initiative, analytical thinking, and a passion for driving sustainable solutions.


About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join our growing team in either Stockholm or Helsinki. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our business development efforts, enabling the team to focus on building client relationships and driving deals forward. 

Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the green steel / renewable energy sector.
    • Benchmark our current geographic strategy against industry best practices and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and maintain detailed market intelligence databases and reports.

  • Project Support:
    • Support the development of investment memos and project briefs for key stakeholders.
    • Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess project feasibility and risks.
    • Support project pipeline development by conducting research, preparing materials for introductory calls, and tracking progress.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate the commercial viability of projects.
    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and assess the financial impact of strategic decisions.
    • Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to the team.

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a business analyst or consulting role, ideally within the energy sector (renewables, project development, or pricing modeling experience is a plus). Experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
  • Financial Modeling: Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Swedish proficiency is a strong advantage, and Finnish is a plus.
  • Mindset: Proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A strong commercial mindset and a passion for the carbon removal industry are essential.
