Act as a subject matter expert in bioreactors, adherent and suspension cell scale-up and harvest technologiesOversee the design of bioreactor systems for stem cells by applying experimental techniques to enable cell growth and tissue formation for large scale productionOptimize and define process parameters for high density mammalian cell cultureContribute to developing and testing cell-based assays for process validationEvaluate and implement process analytical techniques to monitor and control downstream operationsManage the transfer of technologies to both pilot and large-scale manufacturingLead technical assessments for process investigations, risk assessments, evaluation of specifications and material qualificationRecord, analyze, interpret and report data to the project team and stakeholdersExpand bioprocess research team, guide them; train junior scientists, and coordinate with multifunctional teams at MIRAIWe are looking for

Degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess or Chemical Engineering (PhD preferred)Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, ideally in bioprocess, bioreactor engineering or biotechIdeally experience with mammalian stem cell-based bioprocess engineering (upstream)Experience in designing bioreactors, advanced sensor technologies, process controls, automation and CFD simulations is desirableHands on operational knowledge of large-scale upstream unit operations.Outstanding aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving, resourcefulness and willingness to take over tasks that are outside of your core responsibilities
