This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit, formed following Fluence’s acquisition of San Francisco-based start-up AMS. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.
The Bidding Performance Manager will be an integral member of the Fluence Digital team, supporting delivery teams and customers with subject matter expertise and expert analytical advice regarding the performance of bidding strategies at Fluence Digital’s energy storage customers.
The Bidding Performance Manager will develop subject matter expertise in the use of Fluence’s bidding tools and strategies, and will promote overall customer success and satisfaction by developing an analytical capability to provide customers with recommended bid strategy settings and periodic changes, to help customers maximise the value they get from use of Fluence’s software.
The Bidding Performance Manager is an analytical role with customer-facing elements - the Bidding Performance Manager will have opportunities to present analysis and recommendations directly to customers, and to measure the impact of those recommendations. The role will also have opportunities to support the Sales and Marketing Teams with periodic public thought leadership activities.
The role will be based in Fluence Digital’s Melbourne offices (remote candidates will be considered) and will report to the Australian Director of Solutions Engineering, with close interaction with the Product Management, Data Science, Customer Success, and Customer Support teams. The role will grow over time as Fluence scales its SaaS products to new customers, types of energy assets, and markets.
