We are currently seeking a Battery Validation Engineer to join our Charging Systems team. This position requires an experienced professional who is passionate about electric vehicles, batteries and the future technologies of batteries. Our ideal candidate must have knowledge in both battery management software testing and hardware testing. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. The Role
Core responsibility in creating and executing test plans for charging system focusing on battery pack requirements by working closely with hardware, software, systems, and cell engineers on battery teamResponsible for identifying battery performance while charging at different environmental conditions at the system levelExecute AC and DC system software testing on vehicle to validate software release cycle and charging system featuresWorking with other component owners like connectivity and mobile to define test strategy, develop test cases based on charging requirementsDebugging, leading and driving resolution of interoperability issuesPerform post charging test data analysis and present the findings using data visualization toolClearly communicate test results, collaborate with stakeholders globally to discuss issues detected and work on next action planTrack the issues observed in testing, participate in triaging those with software developers/system engineers for root cause identification and its solutionQualifications:
2+ years of testing background in automotive (or related) domain or battery validationExperience in battery cycle, charge and discharge, state of health and thermal testingKnowledge of battery management system (BMS), lithium-ion batteriesExperience and technical background in EV vehicle operation, charging ecosystem, EVSEStrong knowledge of system level testing, requirements, data capturing and analysisExperience with electrical signals, CAN, LIN, Ethernet, PLC CommunicationPreferred:
