We are looking for a Battery Validation Engineer who will:

The responsibilities and duties of the Battery Validation Engineer will be as follows:

  • Create test plans, define, and deliver test equipment, and write test methods to validate designs and functions for aerospace battery systems
  • Write test scripts to enable automation using Vector tools and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Process raw test data and analyse and interpret test results and assist with root cause analysis for any failures
  • Support commissioning and integration of ESS on the aircraft
  • Troubleshooting equipment and sample issues, maintaining and solving test equipment problems as needed.
  • Write test reports

The successful Battery Validation Engineer will have the following Experiences & Qualifications:

  • A degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent and demonstrable work experience
  • Ability to plan, control and take responsibility for own work and related decisions
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the job role
  • Problem solving skills and can-do attitude.
  • Experience with complex system integrations  
  • Experience in data processing and analysis using tools such as MATLAB , Python , DIAdem
  • Experience with different communication protocols i.e. CAN and Ethernet but not essential
  • Experience with Cell and Battery pack integration and testing but not essential
