Join Fluence Digital as an Asset Performance Engineer
This position is part of Fluence Digital, a business unit established following Fluence's acquisition of Zürich-based start-up Nispera. Fluence Digital’s software technology leverages fully automated data acquisition, advanced analysis tools, and computational algorithms powered by artificial intelligence to optimize renewable energy assets worldwide.
As an Asset Performance Engineer, your role will focus on managing both pre-sales and post-sales relationships with clients in a consultative manner. You will provide expert guidance on leveraging Fluence Digital’s software solutions to optimize the performance of renewable energy plants, including wind, photovoltaic, and battery storage systems. Your responsibilities will include addressing client issues, responding to detailed product inquiries, analyzing operational performance, and identifying areas for improvement. You will be a key point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive the support they need to maximize the value of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise, including product demonstrations and analysis.
  • Support customer onboarding by deploying Fluence’s software to renewable and energy storage assets, working closely with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to address customer needs and pain points, contributing to the development of new features and functionalities.
  • Provide training to customer stakeholders, ensuring they are fully equipped to use Fluence’s products effectively.
  • Analyze the performance of renewable energy assets and present insights to asse owners to support existing customers.
  • Assist customers with technical reporting, data analysis, and initiatives to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Develop and optimize tools for data analysis.
  • What You’ll Bring to Fluence:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
  • Excellent collaboration, consultative and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • A detail-oriented approach to work and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Experience in Software as a Service deployment and management
  • A passion for learning and tackling new technical challenges in renewable energy.
  • Abilityto manage deadlines and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python.
