My Impact as an Advanced Quality Engineer

You will support the production and manufacturing engineering teams to build safe and compliant development aircraft and documentation and ensure that all that all production operations are supported by a quality control plan as a minimum and introduce further APQP tools wherever possible.

What success will look like for the Advanced Quality Engineer

  • Deliver within the confines of ISO9001, CAA Part 21,
  • Manage the non-conformance management system and resolve issues in a timely manner to reduce impact to rigorous programme schedules
  • Support the control of non-conforming product and Quarantine Store,
  • Identify and champion continual improvement activities.
  • Monitor the build with regards to quality assurance and quality control and support the build team in all aspects related to quality,
  • Conduct metrology activities to confirm the as built meets the as designed
  • Support the maintenance and management of the organisations QMS
  • Maintain equipment calibration schedule and records,

Everything sounds very interesting but how do I know this is the role for me? 

We are looking for people that will have the following qualifications and experiences: 

  • 3+ years in Quality Assurance / Control
  • 5+ years of working within defined Quality Management Systems
  • Experience of manufacturing processes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in Internal and/or External Auditing
  • Metrology and/or NDT experience
  • Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in controlling manufacturing processes
  • Composite manufacturing experience

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within a regulated environment of advanced technology
    (e.g., aerospace, defence, automotive design and manufacturing)
  • Experience of regulatory requirements in an aerospace approved organisation
  • ISO 9001:2015 or higher training
  • Lean Six sigma qualification (i.e. green belt/ black belt)
  • Experience in training or development of others

Our Ways of Working In the UK we have two offices and a Battery facility in Bristol, an office in London and a site in Kemble with well stocked free kitchen provisions including hot drinks, fruit and breakfasts every weekday. Our typical full time working week is 37.5 hours. We recognise the world of work is rapidly evolving and that 9-5 is no longer a fitting pattern for many.
