Join the Powertrain Team based in Bristol as an Advanced EWIS Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
What will success look like for you, as an Advanced EWIS Design Engineer
As an Advanced EWIS Design Engineer, you will be a key part of the team delivering the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS), responsible for the design and integration of the aircraft wiring systems across the aircraft. This includes conventional Low Voltage systems as well as novel High Voltage systems to enable our all-electric powertrain. You will work closely with our Motor, Battery and Power Distribution teams to deliver an integrated Powertrain system for our VX4 aircraft. You will also work in conjunction with all aircraft systems and structural teams from initial concepts through to interface management, detailed design, harness manufacture and installation; all the way through to aircraft commissioning and flight testing.
What we would like you to bring.
We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this, you will need to have proven experience supporting Systems Engineering activities (including requirements management and safety assessment processes) as well as production of 2D wiring diagrams and 3D harness models from concept to installation definition. Additionally, you will need experience using Electrical 2D & 3D CAD packages, with Catia V5/V6 or 3D Experience highly desirable.
