More about the team you will be joining as a Stores and Logistics Coordinator

The Vertical Logistics Hubs is located at Kemble, directly supporting our Aircraft Programme. We also have a Stores and Logistics capacity supporting the Battery team. These roles report to the Delivery & Logistics Manager.

My Impact as a Stores and Logistics Coordinator

This role will ensure that all logistics activities are completed to keep the programme deliverables on track. A Stores and Logistics Coordinator will ensure that quality inventory management, end to end, becomes the foundations for the whole logistics delivery. The role will also provide logistics support to the certification programme aircraft.

What success will look like for the Stores & Logistics Coordinator

Everything sounds very interesting but how do I know this is the role for me

Design and develop the stores configuration in line with Quality System and future certification requirements
Create processes to ensure all inventory management is in line with required standards
Logistics support is provided to ensure aircraft and test parts are transported within Vertical Aerospace on time and products/equipment is delivered to the correct locations
Ensure our Enterprise Resource Planning system is correctly utilised and developed where required
Continuously improve processes and lead projects to enhance the store operations.
Support the Procurement Officers where required
Liaise and influence other internal departments to ensure effective inventory management and expedite all Logistics deliveries.

We are looking for people that will have the following qualifications and experiences:

Fork Lift Truck driving qualification preferable
Experience in working in a regulated or complex stores/inventory management environment.
Experience working in an aircraft stores/warehouse for an Aerospace company is preferable.
Experience with ERP systems and IT skills, ability to learn new software skills quickly.
Strong organisational skills.
A blend of iQ and eQ, the ability to solve new problems in a fast-paced start-up environment.
A team player with a can-do attitude who works well in a range of teams and has a great attitude to being a service delivery provider.

Our Ways of Working In the UK we have two offices and a Battery facility in Bristol, an office in London and a site in Kemble with well stocked free kitchen provisions including hot drinks, fruit and breakfasts every weekday. Our typical full time working week is 37.5 hours. We recognise the world of work is rapidly evolving and that 9-5 is no longer a fitting pattern for many.
